At 21.23 pm on Saturday, another volcanic eruption occurred in Iceland.

Icelandic authorities declared a state of emergency and the small fishing village of Grindavik was evacuated again. About 700 people who were in the Blue Lagoon were also evacuated and the tourist attraction remains closed.

The eruption is described as the strongest that has occurred this winter.

On Saturday evening, Zara Larsson performed a concert in the Icelandic capital, Reykjavik. On Instagram, Larson poses with the outbreak in the background and writes “live report.”

She also wrote that the tour could not have ended in a better way than it did in Iceland.

“I'm carrying you, sorry. I had to,” the artist also writes on a photo in front of the volcano.

Lava flowed in two directions during the night. To the west, there is some Grindavikurvegur lava, towards the Blue Lagoon and the Svartsengi Power Station. As a security measure, electricity production at the power plant has been halted, the owner company HS announced overnight.

– The lava flow does not appear to be slowing down, says Einar Hjörleifsson of the Icelandic Meteorological Institute. Morgunblaðið.
