They are considered by many to be the best live band in Sweden. The Viagra Boys are set to give an unforgettable show at the Southern Ocean Festival in Malmö this summer. The band will perform at the festival on Saturday, July 13.
During the spring and summer of 2019, the band toured the UK, Canada and the USA and played, among others, at the legendary Bowery Ballroom in New York. Journalist Per Bjorman described it as… “Swedish rock bands have played good concerts in New York in the past, but hell knows if anything has created as memorable a mess as the Viagra Boys at the Bowery Ballroom. God, how good.”
Aftonbladet's Håkan Steen commented on their performance at Way Out West last summer with the words, “Whoever stands in front of Viagra Boy's live show tends to fall, often without a hand. The party in Slottsskogen is no exception. The feeling is that the stupid Stockholm band will be gaining many new fans tonight too.
The Viagra Boys debuted with the EP “Just Like You” in 2016 and followed it up with their first full-length album “Street Worms” in 2018, which received positive reviews. The album contained songs such as “Just Like You” and “Sports”. They have also released other albums including “Welfare Jazz” (2021). Last year, the band won a Grammy Award in the “Rock of the Year” category for its album “Cave the World.”
