Three Danish companies among the ten most sustainable operations in the world – none from Sweden – News Øresund Sweden

Danish wind power manufacturer Vestas has been named the world’s most sustainable company in 2022 in the Corporate Knights Global 100 Index, which measures 24 sustainability criteria for companies with more than $1 billion in turnover. Denmark’s leading position in sustainability is evidenced by the fact that three of the companies are in the top ten. In total, there are twelve Nordic companies in the list of 100, five Danish, four Finnish, two Norwegian and one Swedish. Swedish investments in battery manufacturer Northvolt or SSAB and Hybrit’s investments in CO2-neutral steel production in northern Sweden have not yet made an impact on the Global 100 index. This year, Ericsson is the only Swedish company on the sustainability list.
