It is the certification by Chinese authority TENAA that reveals more about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra flagship, although the official presentation is still a few weeks in the future.
The specifications also reveal that the previous rumors were true – the Galaxy S23 Ultra will use a proprietary version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 codenamed AC version. It will have a higher clock frequency than the regular AB version, and it has three sets of CPUs with a frequency of 3.36GHz, 2.8GHz, and 2GHz respectively. According to the certification, the S23 Ultra with the model designation SM-G9180 will feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution of 3088 x 1440 pixels.
There are four cameras on the back – a 200MP primary camera complemented by 108MP, 12MP and 12MP cameras, with 108MP likely to be an ultra wide angle sensor while one of the sensors is 12MP. It might be a macro. The front camera is also 12MP.
