This is how Queen Elizabeth celebrates 70 years on the throne

The platinum anniversary will be a cracker party with concerts and parades

This weekend celebrates the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s accession to the throne.

The festival program includes concerts with international artists, a giant parade and folk festivals in the streets and squares.

The party is said to be the largest and most expensive royal party in British history.

On February 6, Queen Elizabeth II became Britain’s longest-reigning monarch. Then she broke the old record of Queen Victoria.

70 years of community service is celebrated throughout the year, but the “Platinum Weekend” on June 2 and 5 will be the highlight of the celebrations. Then her birthday is celebrated too.

The big party kicks off Thursday with one of the world’s biggest military parades, Trooping the Color. 1,200 soldiers, 240 horses and 400 musicians take part and the event ends with RAF planes flying past.

Prince William takes over

But until the end, it is uncertain how much Queen Elizabeth will be able to participate. After a period of illness and difficulty moving, the queen cut back on her engagements. The court announced that the Queen would be greeted from the balcony of Buckingham Palace rather than descending on the grounds at Horseguards Parade. It’s the first time this has ever happened.

Queen Elizabeth has attended the Paintball every year since she became queen in 1952, except in 1955 when there was a train strike.

Prince William has played an important role and will receive compliments on horseback with Prince Charles and Princess Anne.

Prince William is a Royal Colonel in the Irish Guards Regiment and was seen training with his horse George, fully dressed including a large fur hat.

When the show is over, the rest of the royal family goes out onto the balcony, but this year the workers are only waving to people. Prince Andrew, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not allowed to attend.

After the military parade of the Colored Forces, the entire royal family gathered on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. The only ones who can't attend are Prince Harry, Meghan and Prince Andrew. According to the court, only members of the royal family are allowed to park there this year.

The most expensive party in the world

A little later on Thursday, more than 1,500 nursing homes across the UK and Commonwealth will be lit up to celebrate the day.

On Friday, the Queen and her family will attend a mass of thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral.

But everyone charges for Saturday, which will be the day of the big celebration. In the morning, the royal family gathers to watch a horse race at The Derby at Epsom Downs. The Queen loves horses and equestrian sports and has handled horse breeding herself.

In the evening, the Standard King is celebrated with a thunder and crash party at Buckingham Palace – the “Platinum Party at the Palace”. The BBC broadcasts the big live concert as the world’s greatest entertainers flirt with the Queen from the stage.

Three large linked stages have been built at Buckingham Palace and it is estimated that 22,000 will be accepted to the public.

In two and a half hours, the audience and millions of TV viewers will see stars such as Quinn, Alicia Keys, Craig David, Doran Duran, Dina Ross, Rod Stewart and Andrea Bocelli.

The dull display reflects the life of the queen

I have had the honor of meeting the Queen many times in my life, including with my family. Diana Ross said in a statement that Her Majesty has always been a wonderful inspiration to so many around the world, and I was thrilled to be invited to perform on such a great historic occasion.

Via the link, you’ll also be able to see David Attenborough, David Beckham, Stephen Fry, Julie Andrews, the Royal Ballet and Elton John.

Sunday’s weekend ends with a big parade and brunch across the country.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson recently paid tribute to the great Elizabeth, as he called her, in Parliament.

No king has served this country for so long in our history, but most importantly, no king has served it so well.
