“They should be afraid of my cheek – it’s life-threatening”

Today, there is likely to be real pressure in the big indoor arena in Belgrade, where the World Indoor Championships in Athletics will be decided. That’s when Serbian Ivana Voleta (formerly Spanovic) tried to defend her gold.

She is one of the top candidates before the long jump competition, but when she herself was asked to highlight the strongest competitors, she chose the Swede.

– I like good competitions, because when you can achieve good results. She said I would jump against the cheeks of Sania and Lauren Ogen (UK) who are the best of the season.

‘It threatens her life’

It’s commendable that Sagnia herself is happy to receive it.

Federation captain Kajsa Bergqvist believes Vuletta is right to shine the spotlight on Sagnia.

– They should be afraid of my cheek. It is life threatening. When you reach full speed and accelerate with it, everyone knows what capacity is available, she said.

Fourth best this year

Sagnia is feeling good ahead of this year’s first tournament. So far this year I’ve jumped 6.70m at best, but the real hit is long overdue.

– The goal is to jump better from the best seasons I’ve come here. Then keep driving. It’s really going to be tough in the first three jumps, so it’s important to perform well as quickly as possible.

The long jump begins at 17.37 on Sunday afternoon. Sagnia is fourth on the starting field if you’re ranking first in the season.
