The UK lists the best rest stops for female drivers

The lack of rest areas isn’t just in Sweden, but it’s clear how the rest areas actually work for female drivers. A survey by British recruitment agency Encore Personnel in the Midlands shows where the best truck stops are for female drivers. Above are the areas of Kent and Northampton. Encore says it has tripled its recruitment of female drivers and points to the importance of good facilities to attract women into the transport sector. With this in mind, Encore surveyed truck drivers to find the best truck stops for female drivers.

According to the company The staff analyzed and reviewed truck stops in the UK that have more amenities and security measures in place to make their female drivers feel safe and secure while working.

Census Encore was led by driver resource specialist John Smith. After months of research and endless conversations with petrol stations and lorry stops, the sites will then offer some of the best facilities in the UK for parking, dining options and cafes, repair and maintenance services. In addition, designated rest areas have facilities such as showers, toilets and changing rooms for women. “Shockingly, we found that sometimes even separate toilets were not an option”, says John Smith.

Encore applause Other areas are doing exactly that because it makes more women want to apply for the driving profession. Now Encore wants all truck rest areas to raise their standards for both men and women.
