Access foldable screens Somehow he opened Pandora’s box for manufacturers. It’s like a blank slate that offers plenty of room for innovation when it comes to how cell phones look and function. Maybe that’s why we’ve seen brands testing foldable laptops and mobile phones with Inward folding screen And Fold-out screenAnd Foldable musselsAnd rollable And even those who have one Triple design.
Samsung, which was one of the first users of this technology and aims to make foldable mobile phones its mainstay, appears to have an innovative new design in the works. It looks like the South Korean company has patented another design for a foldable mobile phone that could make any tech enthusiast with joy.
Sharp-eyed LetsGoDigital They were the first to discover this patent and, as usual, come up with a detailed rendering based on the patent document to give us a clear idea of this new design from Samsung.
Galaxy Z Fold in dispute
This patent was registered in 2019 with WIPO (the World Intellectual Property Office) and was recently approved. It shows that Samsung wants to make a great mobile phone that can remind you of the Galaxy Z Fold when it’s revealed. However, the similarities end here.
Unlike the Z Fold, this new device is expected to fold horizontally, giving you a slightly wider device with a large secondary screen on the front. Looking back, the Z Fold folds vertically and gives you a mobile with a thin, high secondary screen.
Speaking of the secondary screen, the design suggests Samsung wants to put a large square screen on top, which can feel like a compact flagship, but with solid bezels on the sides.
This design appears to be aimed at people who are looking for a business device or mobile phone that can function as a laptop while they are on the go. When it comes to selfie camera placement, the design suggests it can be positioned under a single tap, but if the phone sees daylight, Samsung may also choose to operate on the camera array placed under the display.
As for the rear camera array, we can see a vertically placed triple camera similar to that of the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Although the design does not reveal much about the buttons and ports.
However, it is just a patent and as with all patents, there is no guarantee that the brand will actually manufacture and release the mobile. Therefore, those who like this design have no choice but to wait and hope for an official announcement from the South Korean company.
