The Hives have taken the world by storm, style and top-notch garage rock. On September 15, one of Sweden's most credible music exports will be performing on Liseberg's Stora stage.
The Hives have been described as “a cross between great punk and the coolest rock band in living memory”. Formed in 1993, the band achieved major success in the US and UK in 2000 with the album Veni Vidi Vicious and the singles “I Hate to Say I Told You So” and “Main Offender”. Then the world was at their feet.
They have been members of the Rolling Stones, collaborated with Timbaland and Cyndi Lauper and performed with David Letterman, Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel. Their music has been featured in countless films, television series, games and commercials, including for Nike and Apple. Today, Hate to Say I Told You So has been streamed a staggering 33 million times on Spotify.
In Sweden, The Hives have over the years won Grammy Awards in a wide range of categories: Music Video of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Rock Band of the Year, Producer of the Year, and Live Album of the Year. And they're particularly direct to behold, the cocky, stylish rockers from Fagersta. On September 15 at Liseberg's Stora Scen.
