On Thursday, Nintendo fans took a more detailed look at the upcoming blockbuster “The Super Mario Bros. movie” so far. During the Ninteno Direct premiere of the animated film was its world premiere, viewers first heard Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi and Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach. The film was supposed to be released in December, but is now expected to premiere in April.

“Mario and Luigi are two of the most beloved heroes in all of popular culture, and we are honored to have the unique opportunity to work closely with Shigeru Miyamoto and the broad fictional team at Nintendo to bring these characters to life in an animated film, unlike any that Light has offered to date.”Illumination founder Chris Meldandry said in September 2022, when the voice cast (which also includes Seth Rogen and Keegan-Michael Key) was revealed.
