An image from the upcoming HBO series “The Last of Us” looks almost straight from the games.
Wait for the luxury TV series based on the popular video game “the last of us” We’re starting to get less and less likely, as we finally get the first picture from the HBO project.
The image was released in connection with “The Last of Us Day” that takes place every year on September 26, the date when the virus outbreak began in earnest in the game’s story.
Here we can see the appearance of Elle and Joel (played by Bella Ramsay and Pedro Pascal), who clearly look plucked straight from the model.
The series “The Last of Us” on HBO was produced by Craig Mazin (“Chernobyl”), along with Neil Druckmann who directed the two games. Kantemir Balagov (“Beanpole”) directs the pilot episode, while Swede-Iranian Ali Abbasi, who directed the Oscar-nominated “Border,” is behind one of the episodes.
“The Last of Us” takes place twenty years after the destruction of modern civilization after a deadly fungal virus turned a large portion of humanity into starving zombies. Here we meet survivor Joel, who is tasked with smuggling girl Ellie across the United States. What just starts as a job, slowly develops into a strong relationship.
“the last of us” It’s still in production, but the first episode is expected to appear on HBO sometime in 2022.
