Sydsvenskan sends Davis Cup qualifier – Sydsvenskan

Here’s good news for you tennis lovers.

Beginning on Friday afternoon, you or anyone who is a subscriber can watch Sweden’s qualifiers for the Davis Cup against Japan live at the Helsingforks Stadium.

For two days, the tennis team will decide which teams will qualify for the autumn final called the WC.

Sweden, who advanced to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2011, face Japan in four singles matches and a doubles match. All matches will be played in three sets and the winner will advance to the final, which will be decided in November. The losing team will play in the play-offs in September.

Brothers Michael and Elias Yemer will also play in the singles for Sweden, while Holvikens Andre Gorenson and Fair Place Dragos will play in the Madras doubles.

Four teams are already ready for the final; Last year’s finalists RTF (Russian national team) and Croatia and Serbia and Great Britain each received a wild card.

Sweden’s qualifiers against Japan start at 16.45 on Friday and continue at 13 on Saturday. All matches for you who are subscribers will be broadcast live on Sydsvenskan.se.
