Switzerland regained the jumping team in Falsterbo

Switzerland presented a strong team, with stars Martin Fuchs and Steve Guerdat serving as its backbone. After three flawless innings by the team, in which Janika Sprunger took a big hit, they put pressure on the other teams.

When Martin Fuchs emerged as Switzerland’s final knight, the decision was in his hands.

Of course he withstood the pressure, had another flawless round and victory was within reach.

– It was of course a great feeling to win here in front of this great crowd in Falsterbo. He told SVT Sport: We really wanted to win today and our team effort was great.

-My horse felt very good today, he’s a great horse.

He could be a European Championship horse

During the competitions in Falsterbo, Martin Fuchs will find out if Conner will be the one who will ride in the EC at the end of August.

– Here I have to decide whether to take Conner with me to the European Championships and so far it looks very good.

Great Britain came in second place and the United States in third place. For Sweden, who are actually in the league below but have a wild card, it wasn’t a complete blow. The team, consisting of Wilma Hellström, Markus Vestergren, Petronella Andersson and Rolf-Goran Bengtsson, took second place.

The flashes of light were a flawless round by Hellstrom and Bengtsson in the second round.

-We want to provide better performance. We talked after the first round about some things that needed to be adjusted. Wilma did it with honor, as did Rolf Juran. Actually, Petronella too, but a little closer to the plank, says national team captain Henrique Ancarcrona.
