Valve’s Steam for Chrome OS is now launching, allowing Chromebook users to start downloading games from the service to their PC.
During the Google for Games Developer Summit keynote, Google announced the launch of Steam in alpha for select Chromebook models. Google didn’t say which models will support Steam, but at first it appears they are Chromebooks with slightly higher performance.
9to5Mac reported last month that Chromebooks equipped with an 11th-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor and at least 7GB of RAM will likely be the first models to appear on Steam.
