According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas reached a new deal in mediation last week. The former couple will have custody of daughters Willa and Delphine until January 2024.

Can go to England with kids

The new deal means that both parents have the right to travel with the children within the UK and the US. The children will spend the Christmas holidays with their mother and, among others, have custody of the daughters between December 16 and January 7.

As for the future, Turner and Jonas are required to submit a joint progress report by Dec. 23 in which they explain how mediation between them has progressed at that time.

In a statement, Jonas and Turner confirm that they have reached a temporary settlement:

“After a constructive and successful mediation, we agreed that the children would spend an equal amount of time in loving homes in both the US and the UK. We look forward to being better parents with shared custody,” the statement read.

The former accused her of keeping the children in America

News of Turner and Jonas’ new deal comes after the lawsuit game of thrones– The actress filed a filing last month in which she claimed Jonas was illegally keeping her daughters in the U.S. They had previously agreed they would come with her to the U.K. at the end of September.

Shortly after, a spokesperson for Jonas came out and denied the allegations. According to the representative, a Florida court had issued an order restricting both parents’ rights to relocate the children, an order issued to Turner several weeks before the man filed his lawsuit.

Jonas and Turner got married in 2019. In 2020, their daughter Willa was born, and last year they welcomed their second daughter, Delphine.
