Soon there will be more snow.
However, meteorologists do not know where it will hit.
– This is a very confusing weather situation, says SMHI’s Lars Knudsen.
With Christmas just weeks away, the weather is turning colder. This week, temperatures are expected to drop significantly in northern Sweden, says SMHI meteorologist Lars Knutsson.
– We are now moving in a cold direction and it looks like it will last until next week. At night, it drops to 15-20 minus degrees in northern Sweden in Harjedalen and northern Dalarna.
– Even in the southern parts of the country, it seems to be below zero during the day, he says.
A fresh blanket of snow is expected to fall in parts of Sweden, but which areas it will be are still a mystery to meteorologists.
– It’s very chaotic weather and there are many low pressures that don’t give any details, says Lars Knudsen and continues:
– Some rain and snow in Gotland tomorrow, mainly wet natural snow inland. But it is not a huge amount.
Goblin from Trondheim
At the same time as temperatures have dropped in Sweden, a low pressure system with storm potential has formed in neighboring Norway.
This week, the “Troll from Trondheim” is expected to hit Britain at full speed Daily Mail. Several yellow warnings are expected across the country with heavy snowfall.
However, Lars Knudsen doesn’t think Sweden should worry.
– I find it hard to see what all the fuss is about. A few storms may arise in the Norwegian Sea that may reach the British Isles in a weakened form. That doesn’t seem significant, he says.
