Almost ten years ago, the last story in the saga The Elder Scrolls, which bears the name Skyrim and became incredibly popular upon its release, was released. The exact release date was November 11, 2011 (11-11-11) and since then it’s been launched for just about every runable device you can think of…and now it’s time again.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition will contain everything the previous Special Edition from 2016, but is based, among other things, on 500 Creation Club mods including weapons, equipment, bosses, new quests and much more. In addition, it is also possible to fish in the anniversary edition, which seems to be a very expected activity.
Everyone who already owns The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition also gets an update that adds hunting, a survival mode, and Saints and seducersassignments. To access the full content of the Anniversary Edition without buying it again, it should be possible to upgrade the Special Edition for a small fee, even if you’re playing via Xbox Game Pass.
The new Anniversary Edition will be released for Playstation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and of course PC on November 11, 2021, which is exactly 10 years since it was first launched. What was optimized for the new consoles graphically is not yet clear.
