After the success of the “Sonic the Hedgehog” films, game company Sega wants to shoot more of its game series, such as the “Persona” series.
After the great success of the two “Sonic the Hedgehog”Paramount Pictures has become (“Sonic the Hedgehog 2” grossed over $401 million and is the highest-grossing feature film of all time), so it’s no wonder Sega is hoping to make more money from other brands.
Now the Japanese game company Sega, which is behind “Sonic the Hedgehog”, is revealing that they are aiming to make more movies or TV series based on their game series.
Atlus was founded in 1986 and is best known for the “Persona” series, which often focuses on high school students who must work together to defeat the forces of evil that threaten the world. To help them, they have the so-called personalities, supernatural manifestations of their inner being. The latest game in the “Persona 5” series, is one of the most loved games in this genre.
The worlds of Atlus are full of drama, groundbreaking style, and compelling characters. Stories like those from the “Persona” series really resonate with our fans and see an opportunity to expand the universe, told IGN Toru Nakaharaon, one of the producers behind the Sonic films and head of Sega’s entertainment division.
There are no specific details about the project yet. Given how popular the Persona series is, it probably won’t be a problem to find a production company or streaming service that you crave.
Making movies or TV shows based on games has become very popular in recent times, with successful productions such as the movies “Sonic the Hedgehog” and “Uncharted”, the TV series “Arcane” (based on “League of Legends”) and the upcoming movie adaptations called “Borderlands” and “The Last of Us”.
If you have never played the “Persona” series, new versions of the games “Persona 3: Portable”, “Persona 4: Golden” and “Persona 5: Royal” will be available for Nintendo Switch, Playstation, Xbox and PC.
