Six Nations: Full Contact trailer
Scotland host the latest edition of the Calcutta Cup when they welcome England to Murrayfield this afternoon in what should be an even and entertaining Six Nations match.
Gregor Townsend's side have been inconsistent through their first two games so far. They raced to a 27-0 lead against a young Wales side in Cardiff to preserve a one-point win. Last time out, they were controversially beaten 20-16 by France when they were denied a dramatic last-gasp winning effort and they will want to rectify that defeat with a stunning win over England.
Steve Borthwick will have to oversee a side that has finished second in this fixture winning across three of the previous four games, but a strong start to the tournament has given them some momentum. Two wins from their matches against Italy and Wales laid the foundation for an unlikely Grand Slam, but England will know they need to improve significantly against Scotland to beat them in their own backyard.

HT: Scotland 17-13 England
Half weird to know that. The high number of fouls, and the low number of penalties meant that the game was unstructured at times, with a lot of loose ends from both teams. The two real moments were evenly split, with England's opening score from a set-piece set up beautifully, and Scotland's first effort from the top of the line-up equally effective.
But Duhan van der Merwe managed to overcome the chaos that put the hosts ahead:

Powerful England kicking for ten meters or so, but a final handling error in a sloppy first half ended it.

Scotland play just outside England's midfield half, twice trying to operate on the outside of that powerful outside attack. England's bowlers get their timing right, closing down Scotland and taking them behind the gain line twice, allowing Henry Slade to slot in a stretched pass up the line.
England's chase is good, but Scotland make a statement. George Ford sends something skyward, and Finn Russell tags it. His kick would give England an attacking platform on the ten meter line.

penalty! Scotland 17-10 England (Finn Russell penalty, 35 minutes)
He has yet to miss a tournament this year – that's 12 of 12 from the tee from Finn Russell.

Scotland 14-10 England, 45 minutes
A penalty inside England's 22 would allow Finn Russell to add another three goals to Scotland's tally.

Almost another for Van der Merwe! This reckless contest continues, as Hugh Jones emerges from the tackle and then charges forward, his big winger contacting the ball first as it spins like a top on a roof. Van der Merwe flies through the penetrations and would almost certainly have been on the ground but for Elliot Daly's outstretched right foot, a vital save from the England winger to deny his rival a hat-trick.

Try! Scotland 14-10 England (Try by Duhan van der Merwe, 30 minutes)
Duhan van der Merwe makes his way down the touchline and runs wide!
What an athlete! It's another English mistake that creates the chance, George Ford's slightly high pass to George Furbank, with a flick of the fingers in the face before ricocheting into the hands of the Scots.
Hugh Jones' feet became more secure and his pass was sharp, putting Van der Merwe in space. Ben Earl is quick at the back rower but nowhere near quick enough to keep up with Van der Merwe in the full lava flow, and the Scottish winger scorches Henry Slade down the corner and stomps into the left corner. Finn Russell transforms.

Scotland 7-10 England, 28 minutes
Another relatively shallow Scottish clearance allows England to try another set-piece maneuver, but the center collides again, leaving the ball, you guessed it, on the deck.
Scattered things, that is. England get the ball back up the ground but can't get much possession of it.
