Last year, Pridesgatan in Höganäs was painted in rainbow colors for the city’s Pride Festival. At the time it was meant to be a one-time thing – but now it’s going to be permanent.
He was the city environment manager Ragvald bar Who last year took the initiative to paint Pridesgatan in Höganäs rainbow colors, something that received a good response from the population.
– It was very much appreciated and noticed, says Pär Ragvald to SVT.
And now the city council’s working committee has decided to say yes to the painting being permanent, which Helsingborgs Dagblad reports.
– The street is connected to what Hoganas municipality stands for and our values. To stand up for everyone’s rights and equal worth, says Bar Ragwald.
Saturday, May 13th is Hoganas Pride Day. Pridesgatan’s Pride Parade begins at 11am with entertainment as cakes are served to the first 500 visitors. Later in the evening, the movie is shown My parents are Marian In Saga Cinema.
