Britain introduced fruit and vegetable rationing due to delayed delivery. And there is one greenery that stands out.
Those who crave the fruits and vegetables of Great Britain may in some cases have to reconsider. In many stores, the shelves are empty.
This is because adverse weather conditions in Europe and Africa affected deliveries.
Over the past four weeks, suppliers in Morocco and Spain have had to deal with freezing temperatures, heavy rain and flooding. The weather, in turn, affected the ferries that bring food to the UK.

drastic measures
This has caused food chains to take drastic action.
Many large food chains, including the German discount chain Lidl and the Tesco and Morrisons chains, have now introduced rationing on many vegetables and fruits. It’s reports woman.
Lidl has announced that it is introducing a rationing system because it has seen increased demand for certain goods – and therefore it wants to make sure that all customers have access to the goods.
Just two tomatoes
Food items being rationed in the country include cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes and paprika.
And tomatoes are the most unique—all chains that have introduced rationing have tomatoes on their menu. At Morrisons you can only buy two tomatoes per person, at Lidl the number is three.
All chains have also introduced paprika rationing.
There is a shortage of this vegetable precisely because it is imported from Spain and Morocco, and because it is popular among the British, according to the British BBC News.
There is still no prediction of how long there will be fruit and vegetable shortages in the country – but rationing could last until May.
