The contract manufacturer was purchased from the UK by FC Group Invest Ltd.
The founders of the electronics manufacturer from Cambridgeshire decided to retire and hand over ownership to Swedish-British investors in FC Group Invest Ltd. It appears from a press release. – We wanted to make sure Prism was in good hands when we delivered it. And after taking a closer look at FC Group Invest, we are convinced that they are the right people to move the business forward, says co-founder and general manager, David Aspinall, in the press release. Prism Electronics has been in business since 1991, after David and his friend Richard Walton purchased the manufacturing unit from their then employer. The business will thrive under the leadership of FC Group Invest, which has exciting plans for the future. Prism has continued to grow even during the pandemic, which is a testament to the level of quality of our services and staff, David continues. – We are very happy that we have acquired a company like Prism, whose employees maintain a high standard and have an excellent reputation. Our plan is about continuity and stability, then development and growth, FC Group Invest co-founder Frederic Johansson says in the press release. The trio of David Aspinall, Richard Walton and Richard Wise are said to be continuing with the company for some time to come until the transition goes smoothly. Dave Dawson, general manager since 2020, will be responsible for the day-to-day work with the new owners. New investments are expected in 2022.
