Oscar Eriksson travels home from China with two Olympic medals. First, the 30-year-old took the bronze medal in the mixed competition with Almeida de Val. Then he won the gold with the Niklas Eden team.
After the excitement that went to judging, Sweden beat Great Britain and took the first ever blue-yellow Olympic gold in the men’s team.
This was the team’s third time after the bronze in Sochi 2014 and the silver medal in PyeongChang 2018.
– It’s such a relief and joy, we fought hard for this for eight years. Oscar Ericsson says I am very happy that we were finally able to win the gold medal.
Oscar Ericsson success on Instagram
The Swede’s prominent role during the curling tournament has made an echo on social media. Oscar Erickson has more than doubled the number of followers on Instagram in the past month, from 5,000 to just over 10,000.
Additionally, the Swede trades on Twitter and Tiktok where the focus is on his looks in general and beard in particular.
– Oh really? No, I totally missed that. It’s fun that people like it, says Erickson.
What is the secret behind the beard?
– I think it’s genes, I think. You must see your brother looks like the worst Santa Claus.
Daniel Magnuson Reserve is himself a diligent user of Tiktok. Praises to his teammate:
– Oscar is seven out of seven. Magnuson says he is handsome and continues:
– So there is competition for (tax). this is funy. We try to be as handsome as we can.

– It was a little unexpected but I consider it.
Are you surprised?
– I’ve never heard that I have been called before, but if they want to call me, they can do so, and I don’t mind. But it’s fun to hear, say Rasmus and Rano.
