Nokia launches circular subscription. Subscribe to mobile and make an effort for the environment.

In connection with HMD Global which showcased some new Nokia items yesterday, they also introduced the new environmentally oriented subscription leaflet. The idea behind the subscription is that customers can rent a Nokia phone or tablet directly from HMD Global. When you get tired of mobile, you can upgrade to another phone, while HMD Global recycles or resells the phone the customer delivers.

The incentive to keep the “ring phone” as long as possible is for the customer to be rewarded with what HMD Global calls “Seeds of Tomorrow” (Seeds of Tomorrow) which can be used to donate money to three environmental organizations. The seed donations can be used to support Ecology, an organization that grows trees, ClearRiver, which cleans up plastic waste in waterways, and Offline, which works to provide people, especially in developing countries, with new technology and an internet connection.

Initially, it will be possible to subscribe to the three Nokia phones G60 5G, X30 5G and XR20 as well as the Nokia T10 tablet. The publication will be available first in the UK and Germany, but HMD Global plans to launch the subscription in other countries as well in the future. UK prices for Circular in kr are around 155 SEK/month for the G60 5G, around 310 SEK/month for the X30 5G, around 250 SEK/month for the XR20 and around 125 SEK/month for the Nokia T10 tablet.

In the video below, more about the circular subscription is told.

Nokia introduces three new phones

For both small and medium portfolios

HMD Global, the company that makes Nokia phones at present, today introduced three new mobile phones and one new Nokia tablet. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor and comes with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. It has a 6.43 inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The main camera is 50MP and there is also a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 16MP selfie camera. The Nokia X30 5G will be launched later this fall, with prices after that starting at 5,700 SEK.

HMD Global launches three new Nokia phones

Roberto Carlos agrees

HMD Global has now launched three new mobile phones under the Nokia name as everyone’s focus is on endurance. The first model is the Nokia XR20 which is so durable that it is certified to withstand drops from a height of 180 cm. Another nice thing is that you can change the screen for free if you can crack it within the first year. The glass in the 6.67-inch screen is Gorilla Glass Victus, so you’ll likely get some damage if you break it. The water resistance is IP68, which means you should be able to drop it in water, but you shouldn’t swim with it. Inside the phone you’ll find a Snapdragon 480, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 48MP camera, a 4,630mAh battery that can be charged wirelessly and 5G support. The XR20 costs SEK 5,500, but if you want 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, you’ll instead have to pay SEK 6,300 when it’s released next week. The second model is the C30 which is a budget phone with 6.82 inch screen and 6000 mAh battery respectively. The phone uses the stripped-down Android version of Android Go and is priced at SEK 1,000. Last but not least, they are also launching a new push-button phone with the Nokia 6310. Just like the phone it’s based on, it only has GSM connectivity. The phone has a 2.8 inch screen and uses the Series 30 operating system. It is also very cheap as it only costs 400 SEK.
