New record for recreational vehicles in the UK

In total, the record number for the twelve-month period from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 was 16,608. This is an increase of 8.25 per cent compared to the previous record of 15,342, which was obtained from the 2018/2019 period. This increase applies primarily to motor homes, while caravans are broadly uniform.

The National Caravan Council, NCC, with Kovit-19 assesses that the situation is a contributing factor and that recreational vehicles are attracting more and more young people. NCC is the UK trade union for caravans, mobile homes and caravans, representing more than 550 companies and the sole UK trade union representing holiday homes, retailers, manufacturers, workshops and suppliers of specialty services and products.
