A new Aucus Agreement between Australia, England and the United States has been completed. The first submarines will be delivered to Australia within a few years and will act as a counter force to China’s advances in the Pacific Ocean and South China Sea.
China does not favor the new deal, which goes by the name Aukus, and was already planned two years ago. Now, however, plans are more concrete when the United States, Great Britain and Australia jointly invest in a defense alliance with new nuclear-powered submarines. Reuters reported.
The new Virginia-class submarines will be of British design with American technology and will be built at shipyards in South Australia, which Australian media say will create thousands of new jobs.
New Aukus location
Joe Biden It will host the leaders of Australia and Britain in San Diego on Monday, where they will together chart a path for submarines and other high-tech weapons to Australia’s shores. Already at the beginning of the 2030s, submarines should be in place, but sources say that this may happen as early as 2027.
Great security plan
This is certainly bad news for China, which is making simultaneous advances in several areas in the Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea, and Taiwan is becoming a hot topic of debate. Aukus is a contract directly opposed to such projects and is expected to be Australia’s largest conservation project.
