Intel’s upcoming Alder Lake processors are allegedly really power-hungry. The mysterious Navi 21 GPU was seen with only eight GB of VRAM and the whole thing with the sudden return of 3dfx wasn’t entirely a joke.
It looks like AMD will be able to get a fourth variant of its Navi 21 GPU on the way. Intel’s upcoming Alder Lake family is said to have a lot more power – hungry than today’s range from the manufacturer. Speaking of graphics processors, there will be no new processors from the old manufacturer 3dfx that seemed to be making a comeback.
A fourth variant is Navi 21?
From the UserBenchmark website a previously unknown device based on AMD’s Navi GPU was found. So far, all three GPU-based graphics cards have been paired with 16GB of video memory. However, this new one, seen now, was equipped with only eight.

Alder Lake can get really thirsty
A new report says that Intel’s upcoming hybrid processors based on the Alder Lake architecture will require a lot of power. The report notes that compared to 10th and 11th generation processors, this percentage should increase between 12.5 and 24.2 percent, depending on which product segment is being talked about.

Nothing new from 3dfx
Last week was marked by rumors about the manufacturer of old 3dfx graphics cards, which have long since gone to the grave. The rumors arose from a newly created Twitter account that claimed to be the graphics card maker who was preparing to make a comeback. Something that is not quite surprisingly confirmed now is nothing more than a joke.
