It’s been a long time since we heard something about the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Several specifications have already been discussed in the rumors, while the images provided have shown the design.
FrontPageTech now provides more information about the device. It is a basic list and some specifications have been mentioned before. Assuming that the information is correct, the phones are powered by a chip owned by Google.
The devices support Wi-Fi 6E and 5G and have Android Enterprise ReadyDegree. Google has used the same cameras year after year, so one of the most interesting parts of the rumor is that the company is finally getting started with new image sensors.
Google Pixel 6 has a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera. Other specs listed are a 6.4-inch AMOLED, 4,614mAh battery, 8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB storage.
The Pro model has a larger 6.71″ P-AMOLED display. The battery is relatively large with a capacity of 5000 mAh. The rear cameras are the same as the Pixel 6 except for the addition of a 48MP telephoto lens. 12GB working memory, with up to 512GB of built-in storage.
Another point that stands out is that Google is said to be offering five-year updates for both phones. If the range also applies to updates for new Android versions, it will be quite large, but probably only applies to security updates.
The launch is expected in early September/October.
