Employees will go to the chain’s annual employee party. In total, there are approximately 1,500 employees, who can also bring their own staff.
– It may seem strange to pick a single day’s turnover when trading remains a challenge, but we think it’s important now to acknowledge and celebrate the work everyone has done in the past year, says Jysk CEO Johan. Sjodin.
It’s Jysk’s Danish founder and former CEO Lars Larsen who once established the tradition of an annual employee party.
– It’s simply an investment we choose to make every year because we want to thank our employees and because we know it gives our business and our employees energy. When we have the opportunity to come together and meet each other, many good synergy effects arise that go back to the stores, the distribution center and the head office, says Johan Sjodin in a commentary.
Store of the Year, Model of the Year and Commander of the Year belong to the categories in which the various winners will be announced during the ceremony. In addition, people who have worked within the organization longer will be highlighted.
However, not all stores are affected by the employee party. Some shops in malls and shopping centers will remain open, due to local agreements with landlords.
