John Terry Buys Fifth Surrey Mansion

Former Chelsea and England footballer John Terry has bought another mansion in Surrey – meaning that he now bought five mansions there in recent years, a Daily Mail report says.

The newspaper says that Terry has spent £4.35m on an 18th century property in Cobham. The mansion has seven bedrooms, an outdoor pool and tennis court and is set in eight acres of woods and parkland.

The report says it is unclear whether he plans to live in his latest purchase or whether he has bought it as an investment. However, it says that since retiring from playing football Terry has set himself up as a successful property developer.

In property, there is something to be said for buying what you know – and the Surrey mansion market is something John Terry seems to know very well. He is previously reported as having made £20m on a property he purchased here after selling it on to the Sultan of Oman. So, it would not be at all surprising if, at some point, he turns a healthy profit on his latest acquisition.
