On the clock, Ewa Wikberg’s phone rings. In search of the Joplin wolf Nordens Ark set up a number of SMS cameras in the vicinity and every time a wild animal refracts a beam of light and releases the technology, a photo is taken and sent to the Zoology Director’s phone.
Yet – there is no wolverine.
– no, sorry. But we have absolutely confirmed observations that it remains nearby and that it is alive. Recently, it was a former vet who saw it and we received good help from the public with similar observations. Ewa Wikberg says she seems confident in her new life.
In the woods around Åbyfjorden where the Nordens Ark is located, Joplin appears to have found active life in the wild.

Joplin was born in captivity And he’s never had to hunt himself before, but Ewa Weckberg is sure that the wild wolf solves its diet even in space.
– She can eat anything. Bird eggs, killed animals, earthworms and insects. In the garden, we hid food and hung it up for her in different places, so she used to look for food.

One of the Wolverine’s puppies on the Nordens Ark is being groomed for weight. All the animals born in the park are trained to forage themselves, and Joplin seems to be doing well now – even in the woods outside.
