Jaguar supports one of the largest charging stations in Europe

• Jaguar was a key part of the opening of one of Europe’s largest charging hubs, which was opened by UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt.
• The station will accommodate 180 charging stations and is at the heart of the Midlands road network, close to several JLR facilities.
• 32 Jaguar I-PACEs were deployed simultaneously to test the facility’s infrastructure.

Stockholm – 14 September 2023: Jaguar plays a key role in opening one of Europe’s largest charging stations for electric vehicles. The facility is close to many of the company’s factories and office facilities.

Located at the National Exhibition Center (NEC) in Birmingham, England, the station was inaugurated by Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt. The facility will accommodate 180 individual charging points, including 16 300 kW DC fast chargers for 300 spaces and 150 7 kW AC charging points. The facility is powered by renewable energy sources, including a roof made of solar panels.

In August 2023, 32 Jaguar I-PACEs were deployed simultaneously to test the facility’s infrastructure related to energy delivery, fast charging and vehicle connectivity. The NEC Hub is one of over 500,000 charging stations in Europe that you can find with the Jaguar Charging app.
