Sandra, a young mother, struggles to give her two daughters a happy home in which to grow up. She escapes with her children from her violent husband and is determined to change their lives and arrange a safe home. When it became clear that the city council would not provide the intended home, she decided to build it herself. With very little income and no savings at all, Sandra must use all her ingenuity to fulfill her ambitious dream. At the same time, she should avoid her obsessive ex-husband and keep him away from her and the children. She is helped by the kindness and generosity of new and old friends Sandra. Through them and through the love of her young daughters, she slowly began to find strength and return to herself.
