this year iPhone 13 It’s Apple’s first mobile to offer up to 1TB of internal memory, if you choose the Pro or Pro Max model, but it seems Apple isn’t happy there: the last we heard from the rumor mill suggested that the iPhone 14 could go up to 2TB.
according to MyDrivers (via Mac rumors), which was previously a bit of a hit or a miss in terms of predictions – so take this with a pinch of salt for now. After all, we don’t expect to see the mobile in 11 months.
The website mentions switching to a new type of flash storage called QLC (Quad-Level Cell), which improves performance and capacity while reducing costs. This change was also mentioned by other sources, although this is the first time we’ve heard of an alternative 2TB TV.
Pro models only
As with the current iPhone series, it’s reasonable to assume that the maximum storage space of 2TB will only be available on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, should it come up. In such cases, these configurations are likely to be expensive.
So far, we haven’t heard much about what Apple might have plans for its iPhone series for 2022. One reputation What has emerged is that the iconic iPhone cover could give way to a smaller screen hole design on the screens of Pro models.
There has also been talk of upgrading to a 48MP camera sensor, and Higher resolution video recordings One of the reasons may be more storage space provided by Apple. It would be a somewhat surprising upgrade if it actually happened, but we’ll simply have to wait and see.
More storage is always welcome
More storage has always been an expected year after year upgrade for flagship mobiles, but that trend has disappeared as more and more of us start relying on cloud storage to keep all our valuable photos, videos, and files safe.
In addition, there has been a huge change from having digital content like movies and music to just streaming it through services like Netflix and Spotify. With the continuous improvement of broadband and mobile speeds, the need to store files locally on the device is no longer as important as it used to be.
Despite this, we did not reject an alternative from 2 TB. Since Pro models of iPhones can now record 4K ProRes videos at 60 frames per second, more storage is always welcome — and after that we haven’t included the storage required to sync audio and videos for offline playback.
If higher storage configurations aren’t for you, affordable lower capacity options will still be available as usual. We’re always happy to see more storage options available at the top, for both the Android and iPhone flagships.
