After yesterday’s event, Apple confirmed on its website that both iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura will be released sometime in October. Regarding the version of the operating systems, custom spatial audio profiles for AirPods should also be available.
iPadOS is usually released at the same time as iOS, but this year it happened that the OS ended with macOS, and it remains to be seen if this is a trend that will continue.

For everyone who has an iPhone 8 or Apple Watch Series 4 or later models
After Apple yesterday introduced two new iPhone and Apple Watch models, it also announced that next week it will release the updated iOS 16 and watchOS 9 operating systems for its phones and watches. As usual, Apple is very generous with which of their older models will be able to run their new OS. For iOS 16, you must have an iPhone 8, which was released in 2017, or a newer iPhone model in order to set up the operating system. If you want to run watchOS 9, you must have an Apple Watch Series 4, released in 2018, or a later model. To be able to run watchOS 9, you must have an iPhone with iOS 16 installed. Both iOS 16 and watchOS 9 will be available for download on September 12. You can check out all the models that support both operating systems in the images below or in the facts box below.
