Huawei launched two new smartwatches in the form of Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro Titanium and Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro Ceramic. As the names show, one is made of ceramic material and the other is made of titanium. Both will also be available in two different sizes, 43 and 46 mm, respectively, and five different designs.
Both have sapphire crystal AMOLED displays, which is one of the reasons both watches are 0.5mm thinner compared to the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro.
According to Huawei, the Huawei GT 3 Pro series will provide up to 14 days of battery life in normal use (eight in high usage) for the 46mm version, and up to 7 days (four days in high usage) for the 43mm version.
Wireless charging is also 30 percent faster than the Watch GT 2 Pro.
However, one of the big news is that in Sweden we have to wait for a while, which is the measurement of the electrocardiogram. The watches already have the needed support, but the job will only be available here after official certification, something that will tentatively happen later in 2022.
Another detail that has been improved over the previous version is the water resistance. It has been optimized to comply with EN 13319 for diving to a depth of 30 metres, as well as improved salt water resistance. This is also one of the reasons why Huawei added a diving mode for free diving as well as a personal training assistant that allows the user to train to improve their ability to hold their breath.
Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro Titanium Edition and Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro Ceramic Edition are launched with recommended prices from 3,990 to 5,490 kroner including VAT depending on the version.
