Swansea, the League Cup champions, won their first semi-final 2-0 and played one game in the final.
Then Eden Hazard completely embarrassed himself.
The then-Chelsea star was frustrated to say the least when one of Swansea’s ball boys, in the midst of Chelsea’s desperate chase, dropped the ball and thus sent a kick to the youngster lying on the grass.
The ball boy smiled sinisterly and grabbed his ribs.
Referee’s reaction: a red card for the Belgian. Soon, Eden Hazard took to social media and apologized.
“The ball boy came into the locker room and we had a short conversation. I apologized and the boy apologised, too. It’s overrated and I apologise.”
The ball boy, the son of one of Swansea’s biggest contributors, has become somewhat of a celebrity after that and according to the site Atmosphere Gain just over 100,000 new followers on social media.
From boy kicking a ball to a windy
Nine years after the incident hit the news of the world, a former ball boy, named Charlie Morgan, is once again making headlines in Britain.
This time for completely different reasons. Namely, Time magazine published a list of the richest young people in Britain. And there, 26-year-old Morgan takes his place.
According to the newspaper, his fortune is 40 million pounds, or nearly 500 million kroner. Today he is a very successful businessman, who together with his schoolmate founded the brand of spirits Au Vodka.
According to Joe’s, they started producing bottled gold-colored vodka to sell to local bars in Swansea. After that, production increased rapidly, and today they produce 35,000 bottles per day.
Variety of vodka is available for purchase in about 40 countries around the world.
