On February 8, it became clear which song and artist will represent Great Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest. Michael Rice He took home the win with the song “Bigger Than Us” after beating six other contestants.
The setup is a little different in the UK. Last year Michael won the All Together Now competition, organized by the BBC. He and the other finalist, Holly Tandy, they performed their version of the song “Bigger Than Us”. The judges decided to let Michael continue.
This meant he had to compete Kerry Ann Who sang “Sweet Lies” and Jordan Clark Who sang “Freaks” in the final competition. When the votes were counted it was clear that Michael had won and therefore represented Great Britain in the Economic and Social Council.
