Google will make it easier to send files to itself. Share files between PC and mobile using Self Share

Google has developed a feature that will make it easy to send files between your computer and mobile phone and vice versa.

The new feature is called Self Share and is based on an AirDrop-like feature, a close feature, which Google launched earlier. With Self Share, the file that the user wants to forward to one of their other devices will use bluetooth, wifi or WebRTC to send the selected file between the devices.

As it stands now, the self-sharing feature will initially only work for sending files between Chrome OS and Android devices. We hope, however, that the Self-Sharing and Nearby Sharing feature will also work with Windows devices at least in the future.

When we can see the self-sharing feature appear in Chrome OS and Android, there is no information about it yet.
