Attorney Cohen has long been one of Trump’s most loyal staffers. But after serving prison time for tax evasion and lying to Congress, he had a change of heart and became a star witness against his old boss.

Among other things, he called Donald Trump a fraud and a racist. Cohen alleges that before the 2016 election, Trump ordered him to pay women who claimed to have affairs with the then-businessman in exchange for their silence. Now there is a civil fraud trial in the two men’s old hometown. What must now be decided is the size of the fine, whether some property must be given up, and whether Trump family members are subject to some form of business ban in New York.
