As previously reported by TTELA, Elvira Tanderud has been selected for the 4x100m relay team at EC Athletics in Munich. She is one of six shortlisted, along with Moa Hjelmer, Filippa Sivnert, Daniella Busk, Lisa Lilja and Julia Henriksson. Since then Moa Hjelmer has fallen ill and It has been reported that her participation in the European Commission is not confirmed.
For a long time, it was uncertain who would conduct the four stages, but shortly before the beginning, the elect were announced; Elvira Tanrudd was selected as the finalist. The other three stages were operated by Julia Henrikson, Philippa Siffnert and Daniela Bosque.
The team came fifth – Great Britain crossed the finish line first. But Sweden did not qualify for the final, which will be held on Sunday. There was not enough time for the final.
“very Wonderful”
– Yes, but it was very fun, my first championship. The run has been so much fun — so cool, Tenrud says to SVT after the race and beyond:
– It’s fun being here and running – It’s great with the crowd and being in the EC bubble.
She commented on the time they passed as follows:
– We would have liked a better time, of course, but we did our best and we could feel good.
