Mercury Marine has released its first electric outboard, the Avator 7.5e. The electric motor creates new opportunities to move silently and sustainably through aquatic environments, while at the same time scoring top marks in tests.
Perhaps anyone considering changing their exterior to electric should look to Mercury’s new Avator 7.5e, a 750-watt model that’s part of a series of electric motors.
As you know, Mercury is a popular brand over the years with outboards ranging from 2.5 to 600 HP, Yachting News says.
Electric outboard moves quietly and smoothly
The new electric motor has a comparable 3.5 hp, and is the range up to an hour enough? If you’re looking for quick sprints for long periods of time, this may not be the outdoorsy spot for you, but if you instead want to take it easy through sea areas, the Avator 7.5e is perfect.
According to the test by Yachting News, the new outdoor deck gets the highest marks. Since it moves silently on electricity, you can absorb the environment in a better way, and enjoy the wilderness and hunting more.
A more sustainable boating sector
Opting for an electric motor on the lake, just as many people do nowadays on the roads with electric cars, is helping the entire boating sector – which is lagging behind – become more sustainable.
