Dice titled the next big game Battlefield 2042 It was unveiled in early June. Usually the campaign functions partly as an introduction to the mechanics of the game and partly as a narrative element. It gives players an insight into the gaming world and what lies behind the conflict around which the multiplayer mode battles revolve around. According to DICE, however, a lack of campaign mode shouldn’t mean a lack of activity. Instead, the story is carried forward with the help of in-game and out-of-game elements. Now one of the first nine-minute short film Exodus is being presented.
The film depicts the events that occurred shortly before Battlefield 2042 took over and presents, among other things, a familiar face of Battlefield 4. Exodus is free to watch and available at Battlefields YouTube Canal. Battlefield 2042 will launch on October 22, 2021 and will be available for PC, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4 (Pro), and Xbox One.
What do you think of the Exodus? Does the short film format work or do you prefer a single player campaign?
