Less undo, no “reset dungeon” button and class credits.
Diablo IVBetas have come and gone, and feedback from players seems to be generally positive. However, they also gave a lot of feedback, as it should be in beta testing, and Blizzard took what was written in the official forums and checked the data from the test.
Now they’ve shared a list of things they plan to change before the game finally releases on June 6 (release times). One thing players have complained about, for example, is that you’re often forced back in the same way you entered some (undo) dungeons – for example, when you’re forced to go through side rooms to complete an objective and then find your way back to the main road.
So the layout of many dungeons is improved, and small numbers of remaining enemies will search for the player so you don’t have to find them. The “dungeon reset” button has also been removed, as Blizzard does not want to use it to escape difficult situations. They also want you to not play the same dungeon over and over again, so the button might come back with some kind of restriction.
Character classes are also starting to be balanced, with things like the barbarian getting a 10 percent passive damage reduction and a whirlwind ability damage boost, which should hopefully make the class feel a little stronger in the early game. On the other hand, the Mage was considered to be fairly good, so the Lightning chain attack wouldn’t do as much damage and would also be less effective against bosses.
There are many changes in the works, and now I’m reading about them here.
