Big changes to the subscription service.
Microsoft is changing the pricing and content of its various Game Pass options, which we learned about last month. One major change is that access to all of Microsoft’s new games on release day is only included with certain subscriptions.
This applies to the $15 per month Game Pass Standard subscription after the increase, as some games may take 12 months or more to become available, You are being notified On Xbox Wire. Wait times may vary between titles. Even the entry-level Game Pass Core option will of course be without day one releases.
To continue day one access, Game Pass PC or Ultimate is required. They cost $13 and $20 per month, respectively. See This list For Swedish prices.
Some games coming to Game Pass Ultimate (day one games or other game entries) will not be available immediately with Game Pass Standard and may be added to the library at a future date (which could be up to 12 months or more and will vary by title). We will continue to share with all Game Pass members when games are added and available to play for each plan.
After announcing the changes, Microsoft was criticized by the US Competition Commission (FTC), which called the whole thing a “degraded product.” But the Xbox camp responded by saying that it has more new games on its service than its rival PS Plus. On the other hand, they never promised day-one releases for all of their own games.
