The gaming company Krafton, which is behind games like PUBG: Battlegrounds And the Callisto Protocolthey introduced something they call a virtual human.
It’s about a digital character called ANA. It was created using the MetaHuman tool of the Unreal Engine game engine, which we wrote about a little earlier. Crafton has now shown the first images of ANA which you can check out above and below. Krafton’s idea of ANA is that it “should” be able to become a kind of representative of the ecosystem around the so-called Web 3.0 that Krafton is developing. What exactly this means, however, is not clear.
However, it appears that Crafton is aiming for ANA to become some sort of celebrity in their Web 3.0 project. Krafton Creative Director Josh Seokjin Shin says in a press release:
“ANA is a hyper-realistic virtual human being created by KRAFTON’s unparalleled technology. We expect it to attract the interest and popularity of Gen Z around the world. ANA will release an original music track and expand its reach as an influencer in various fields across entertainment and esports.”
Crafton wrote that they plan to present the ANA in more detail later this year. Then maybe we’ll also find out more about what Krafton plans by investing in Web 3.0.
