Clarity: Oasis reunites

British rock band Oasis are reuniting. “It is what it is, it's happening,” the band wrote on their Instagram.

After years of bitter sibling rivalry between Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, the band is reuniting.

“This is it, it's happening”, the band wrote on their Instagram, listing where they will be playing in the future.

The legendary rock band will play 14 shows in five cities in England and Ireland next summer. It will be in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin. Tickets go on sale from August 31.

“The guns fell silent”

In a first statement on the Oasis website, the band writes:

“The guns have fallen silent. The stars are right. The long wait is over. Come and see. This will not be televised.

Speculations have come for years. However, rumors of an Oasis reunion have gathered pace recently, especially after Liam Gallagher's performance at England's Reading Festival this weekend. Then the date “27/8 -24” appeared on the big screens, a hint that something big was happening on that particular date.

Oasis broke up in 2009 after an argument before a concert in Paris in which Liam smashed his brother's guitar. In the years since, Liam Gallagher has repeatedly begged his brother to get back together, while Noel has remained completely uninterested.
