Another attempt to draw a mini boat – after a tearful failure

On May 27, he was to embark on his journey across the ocean in a 1.5 meter long sailboat of his own design. Stretching his entire body on the boat was impossible, and he planned to live on homemade energy bars during the 90-day crossing. But on departure, he realized that the boat had taken on water and turned back. The next day, the boat was full of water at the jetty, and when they went to lift the boat up, it broke under the weight and perished on the shore.

– I’m so sorry. Everyone who supported and helped me did not know what to say. Big C No more, she can’t go on with this and neither can I,” Andrew Bedwell tearfully told himself.

He hopes to be ready for another attempt in two years and is now looking for boat designers who can help him design a new boat. He now hopes to make the boat a bit more spacious inside, raise the freeboards and widen the deck area to have more room for solar panels.

– But it won’t be pretty in the end, says Andrew Bedwell.
