Alstom will continue to maintain, refurbish, service and clean Crosscountry’s Voyager and Super Voyager fleet until 2031.

The contract also includes implementation of sustainability innovations to prepare for years of service.

Alstom, a global leader in intelligent and sustainable mobility, has extended its Rail Services Agreement (TSA) with Crosscountry in the UK for eight years.

Under the contract, Alstom will regularly maintain, refurbish, service and clean 252 vehicles in CrossCountry’s fleet (34 Class 220 Voyagers and 24 Class 221 Super Voyagers) at their main depot at Central Rivers. Additionally, seven Voyagers will be transferred to Crosscountry upon decommissioning by Avanti West Coast to strengthen Crosscountry’s fleet and enable future service improvements.

– We look forward to working with our colleagues in Crosscountry to deliver a high-quality rail service for the next eight years,” said Nick Crossfield, CEO of Alstom UK and Ireland. “We are delighted to be extending our Voyager. Maintenance contract with Crosscountry for another eight years. Since 2007, we have worked closely together to provide all CrossCountry customers with reliable, well-maintained and safe trains.

– We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Alstom as we launch our national railway contract. Improving the onboarding experience is critical to ensuring our customers see us as a long-range option. We look forward to working closely with Alstom in the coming years to deliver these improvements,” said Tom Joyner, CEO of CrossCountry.

The agreement places a strong focus on strong fleet efficiency, with a joint team between Alstom, the asset holder and Crosscountry identifying optimization and improvement initiatives to ensure the quality of the passenger environment.
