Instead, Alison Kirkby will become CEO of BT. Kirkby, who became CEO of Telia at the beginning of 2020, will remain at Telia until the end of January 2024 at the latest.
On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Alison for her leadership, vision, and strong focus on value creation over the past three years. I served as CEO during an important and challenging period in Telia’s history and made a positive and lasting impact through a continued focus on driving a clear growth agenda, digitizing our operations, and driving simplicity across the organization.
“The board and I regret that Alison has chosen to leave the company, but we wish her all the best in her future career,” says Telia Chairman Lars Johan Jarnheimer in a comment.
She has led the company through a period of significant transformation, implementing a renewed Nordic and Baltic focused strategy, and a return to growth throughout Telia’s business area.
– It has been a privilege to work with so many talented colleagues and leaders across the Nordic and Baltic countries to create an even better Telia. Having lived away from my family for nearly ten years and now having a unique opportunity in the UK, I thought carefully and decided to leave Telia and take on a new challenge. Until then, I will continue in my role and move our current agenda forward with full focus and commitment for the remainder of my term,” Allison Kickerbie said in a statement.
